Therapeutic Garden

We believe in the power of nature to heal and connect people.

Therapeutic gardens are outdoor spaces designed to promote mental, physical, and spiritual health through exposure to nature. This concept dates back to ancient times when cultures recognized the calming effects of natural environments. Today, the medical community endorses horticultural therapy and gardening as beneficial practices for rehabilitation and overall well-being. These gardens foster a connection with nature, nurturing personal wellness in a peaceful, natural setting.

We are excited to partner with Natasha Donnelly, PhD of Cedar Oaks Clinic to establish a trauma-focused therapeutic garden and adjacent flower farm. By promoting mental wellness through community engagement in cultivating flowers, and herbs, we aim to create a low-pressure, barrier-free activity, ideal for beginners and participants of all ages, providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone.

A Sanctuary for Reflection, Connection, and Healing at Liberty Oaks

At Liberty Oaks, our garden and flower farm are meticulously designed to prioritize sound, scent, color, and safe spaces for reflection, conversation, and connection with nature. Our therapeutic garden warmly welcomes a diverse array of groups, including schools, veterans, clinics, rural communities, churches, and the Suicide Prevention Association.

We honor and respect the unique backgrounds of all our visitors, encouraging them to engage in meaningful discussions that transcend their worries. Our goal is to foster a sense of wonder, curiosity, and connection, creating a nurturing environment where everyone can find peace and inspiration.

Flower Farm Benefits

Our flower farm initiative at Liberty Oaks offers numerous benefits beyond its beauty. Envisioned at the entrance of our property, it creates a serene environment that promotes mental well-being and relaxation. Guided by local experts, we aim to follow best practices to ensure a thriving floral environment.

Together, we strive to create a welcoming space that enhances the well-being of our community.
