Thrive & Shine Opening Event

Liberty Oaks Vision Tour

On a warm summer Saturday, Liberty Oaks welcomed friends, neighbors, and new faces for its very first public event. The morning began with a casual meet-and-greet under the oaks, where guests enjoyed light refreshments and time to explore the property. At 10:00 a.m., the crowd gathered for a group photo to commemorate the launch before beginning the guided Vision Stations tour.

Each station revealed a piece of the Liberty Oaks mission:
On the Front Porch, visitors learned about the heart of the work—helping families in crisis connect, heal, grow, and thrive—through storyboards, conversations, and a glimpse into founder Stephanie Kaeberlein’s personal journey. At the Pond Deck, guests discovered the resources and projects that will connect families to hope and help. In the Healing Garden Site at the back of the property, they saw plans for therapeutic gardens, a barn renovation, and the Restoration Farm. Inside the Workshop Rooms, visitors stepped into the future of retreats, counseling, and workshops designed to promote long-term healing.

Walking the Path Toward Healing

Throughout the day, there were short guided hikes along the THRIVE Trail to the creek and waterfall, music on the lawn, and friendly games of cornhole. Children gathered in the grassy front area to paint rocks, explore a nature scavenger hunt, and enjoy simple crafts. Community wellness tables offered resources and conversation. Lunch from Chick-fil-A was served at noon, followed by another group photo and a second round of the Vision Stations for those arriving later.

By the time the last guests lingered under the shade trees, Thrive and Shine had done more than showcase a property—it had given the community a living picture of what Liberty Oaks will become: a place where families facing unimaginable loss find connection, restoration, and the space to thrive again.
